What is needed to create a blog website for free on WordPress?
You only need an email ID to create a website on WordPress for free. Keep in mind that this E-Mail ID has been created in Google. that is, which we call Gmail ID.
Step 1. Visit WordPress.com Site
To create a free blog website on WordPress, first of all, go to your favorite browser and open the WordPress.com website.
After opening the WordPress.com website, you have to click on “Get started”.
Step 2. Create Your Account on WordPress.com
As soon as you click on the “Start your website” button. then you are asked to create an account in WordPress. then now you enter your Gmail ID on Your email address. Enter any of your favorite username in the Choose a username option. And enter your password in the Choose a password option. After that click on Create Your Account. This creates your account on WordPress.com.
If you want to create an account on WordPress directly from your Gmail ID. then you can create by clicking on the Continue with Google option.
Step 3. Choose a domain
As soon as you create your account in WordPress, you reach another page. Now you are asked to create your domain name on this page.
You must have heard that a domain name has to be bought. But I would like to remind you that you are already building a website on WordPress for free. That’s why you do not have to take any domain name.
Then, now you want to create whatever preferred name you want for your website. Here, type the domain you want in place of Type.
Since I like the word blogget very much., I would like to name this blog website something similar to Blogget being built on WordPress for free. then I have named this Free Blog Website WordPress as BloggetBlog.
You are making this blog website for free on WordPress.com, then on creating a website for free on WordPress.com, you get the name of your blog’s website in the subdomain.
Let us understand this in simple language. Like I kept my Domain Name BloggetBlog. But if someone wants to visit this website of mine, then he has to type BloggetBlog.WordPress.com in the browser.
Meaning if you create a blog website for free on WordPress.com. And name it example then your website becomes example.WordPress.com
Step 4. Select your Free Plan
If you accept this website name example.wordpress.com and you are satisfied with the free plan. So you click on the select button and you will go to another page.
And apart from this, you also get many Paid Plan options on this page. So let us move forward with the free plan.
Step 5. Start with a free site
You are now on the next page. Here you are shown different paid plans very well. After all wordpress.com website has been created for business purposes only.
